MAUDE WIESE - Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today for former Cottage Grove resident Maude Norma Wiese, Portland, who died May 9 at the age of 77.

Wiese was born in White Bird, Idaho. She was married to Louis H. Wiese on Sept. 8, 1920 in Portland. He preceded her in death on March 4, 1970. A son, Louis Sanford Wiese, also preceded her in death on April 29, 1967.

Wiese is survived by six children: Verdene Keele, Creswell, William F. Wiese, Sacramento, Calif., James Stanley Wiese, Eagle Creek, Patricia A. Holt, Seattle, Gary S. Wiese, Coquille, and Cheryl S. Ammons, Portland; 15 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, five sisters, one sister-in-law and two brothers.

Services will be held today (Wednesday) at Lane Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Dick Struckmeier officiating. Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel is managing funeral arrangements.
