Alice B. Bardot was born June 27,1883 at Luebbering and died Feb. 1, 1920 at the home of her brother, Wm. Bardot in St. Louis of pneumonia following an attack of influenza. She leaves to mourn her loss, her parents, Louis and Matilda Bardot of Luebbering, a sister, Mrs. Irene Young of St. Louis, two brothers, William of St. Louis and Vollie of Luebbering. The remains were brought to Fairview cemetery near Grubville, Mo. where they were tendrly laid to rest in the presence of sorrowing friends and relatives. The deceased was a person of firm character, neat and industrious in her habits, ever having a word of sympathy for the distressed and oppressed and lending a helping hand to those in need. Thus ends the life history of one taken away so young and unexpectedly and it is hard to realize that we are robbed of her presence but our lives are not in our hands and time can only soften the sorrow within our hearts. The bereaved have the sympathy of the community.
