Mr. William H. Warren, an old and esteemed resident of this community, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. J. J. Abrigg, in Brunswick, on Friday, September 16th, 1892, in the 78th year of his age, of general debility, after an illness of several months' duration. Funeral services were held at the residence of the daughter of the deceased Sunday forenoon, conducted by Rev. Bartholomew, of the Christian church. The obesquics were largely attended, and interment was had at the city cemetery on the hill. (Elliott Grove Cemetery) The aged wife and two grown children are left to mourn the devoted husband and kind father. The son, W. C. Warren, lives on the old farm, near town, and the daughter, Mrs. J. J. Abrigg, in the city. Mr. Warren, in the early days, worked at the carpenter trade, and was proficient in that calling. He built several houses in Brunswick years ago, some of which are still standing--notable among them being the little frame building in which the now celebrated comedian, Sol Smith Russell, was born. Of late years, until enfeebled by old age, he had engaged in farming. He was a kind-hearted and honorable man, and was held in especial high regard by the older inhabitants who had known him long and well.
