John W. Meador, 60, of Maroa died 9 p.m. Saturday in Decatur Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Maroa, with visitation 5 to 9 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Maroa Cemetery.

Mr. Meador was born Sept. 4, 1916, in Patoka, son of Roy and Bessie Meador. He was a retired truck driver for K & R Delivaery, Decatur and member of Maroa Fire Department. He married Mildred Hoff on November 13, 1937.

Surviving are his wife; son, Thomas of Livermore, CA.; daughters, Mrs. Steve (Nancy) Umphress of Varna; Mrs. Gerald (Linda) Lienhart of Bloomington; sister, Mrs. Carl (Lucille) Boyd of Farmer City; four grandchildren.
Two sisters preceded him in death.
