BELLS - Funeral for Hubert J. Crews, 77, who died Jan. 17 at Texoma Medical Center, Denison, was held Jan. 19 at Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Carter officiating.
Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Mullican-Little Funeral Home.
Crews was born in the Pink Hill community, son of Mr. and Mrs. James R. Crews. He married Velma Brown Dec. 17, 1932 at Durant, Okla.
He was a retired farmer and member of Antioch Baptist Church where he had served as deacon for 42 years. He worked at Fant Milling Co. for 19 years and was Precinct 2 commissioner for four years. He was a member of Bells Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Bobby Crews, Denison, Doyle Crews, Dallas; three sisters, Pearl Haliburton, Bells, Beulah Lamb and Mable Deberry, both of Sherman; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
