Born on Sept. 16, 1929 in Lawrence Twp., Clearfield County, PA, he was the son of Oral and Jennie (Johnson) Bauman.
Mr. Bauman had been employed by the former Clearfield A & P Store and the former Coalport A & P Store and had retired from the Target in Fletcherville.
He was a member of the O'Shanter United Methodist Church. Mr. Bauman was also a member of the Clearfield Masonic Lodge #314 and was a member of the 32nd Degree of the Consistory of Masons in the Valley of Williamsport.
He was a life member of the Lawrence Township Volunteer Fire Company #3.
Mr. Bauman was a veteran of the United States Air Force, having served during the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy J. "Dottie" (Jordan) Bauman, whom he married on September 14, 1956 at the West Side United Methodist Church of Clearfield. Also surviving is a daughter, Valerie Tate and her husband Stacey of Mason, OH; a granddaughter, Kaitlin Tate of Mason, OH; a sister, Julia White of O'Shanter, PA and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Bauman is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Raymond and William Bauman.
Funeral services will be held on Jan. 15 at 11:30 a.m. at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc., Clearfield, PA with Pastor Christine Freeman-Frank officiating. Interment will be in the Bloomington Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Military Honors will be accorded at the funeral home by the Clearfield Honor Guard American Legion Post #6 and the VFW Post #1785.
