Mrs. Susan B. Keyes
In Bennington, Friday, January 31, 1902, Mrs. Susan B. Keyes,
widow of the late Samuel Keyes, peacefully passed to the better life. She was the oldest daughter of Thomas Bannister, formerly of Brookfield, Mass. He served in the Revolutionary Army till the close of the war; afterward settled in Pownal, and was a well known physician in Southern Vermont. One sister survives her. She leaves three daughters and three sons. Her patient, unselfish spirit and kindly heart will long be held in loving remembrance by those who knew her best. The funeral will be held Monday afternoon, the Rev. Charles R. Seymour officiating, and the burial in the family lot at Bennington Centre.
