Norman W. Bennett, 67, of DeLeon Springs, FL, passed away Friday, Jan. 2, 2009 in DeLand, FL.
Norman was born in Seville, FL on Dec. 7, 1941 and lived his whole life in Volusia County. He served in the United States Army and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Norman owned and operated his own fernery.
He is predeceased by his wife, Clara Mae.
Norman is survived by his sons, Michael Bennett of DeLeon Springs, FL and Seavey Meriwether of New Smyrna Beach, FL; daughters, Susan Meriwether of New Smyrna Beach, FL and Peggy Cane of Perry, FL; brothers,Albert Bennett of DeLeon Springs, FL and Herbert Bennett of Pierson, FL; sisters, Esther Peterson of DeLeon Springs, FL, Ethel Norman of Lawtey, FL and Darlene Norman of Lawtey, FL; seven grand-children and 11 great-grandchildren. Arrangements are in the care of Allen-Summerhill Funeral Home inDeLand, FL.
