In loving memory of Brett Robert Bishop, who peacefully passed away in his sleep the morning of January 8, 2009. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Bishop.
Brett was a thoughtful, dedicated father who put his children above all else, a smart and witty man, with a love of music and science fiction, and a published author with a diverse portfolio of short stories. Brett spent 25 years as an engineer and manager at Motorola and Freescale. Retiring in 2008 allowed Brett to enjoy quality time with each of his children doing the activities that they all loved. He will be missed.
Visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Monday January 12, 2009, at Harrell Funeral Home Chapel in Kyle, Texas, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, January 16, at the Ralph O. Jones Chapel, Odessa, Mo. Burial at Greenton Cemetery, Odessa. The family will receive friends 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Ralph O. Jones Chapel.
