The entry was taken from a transcription of the cemetery which lists only his years of birth and death as 1857 and 1929, respectively.

On June 14, 1860, the census was recorded for the Coffey family living near Jamestown, Russell County, Kentucky. The family consisted of: John, age 25; Elizabeth, age 23; Albert, age 2, and Mary, age 5 months.

By 1870, his parents had several more children, John C, Laura B, Green M and Susan.

By June 8, 1880, Albert, age 22, was married. He and his wife, Annie, age 30, lived in Russell County just a few houses down the road from my great-great-grandparents, Joseph and Nancy Scott.

On the 15th day of June 1900, he and his wife were listed in the census for Jamestown, Kentucky, as: Albert, head, born Oct 1857, age 42, married for 20 years; Lucy A, wife, born May 1853, age 47, married for 20 years, had 5 children, but only 4 living; John W, son, born Oct 1881, age 18; William K, son, born May 1884, age 16; Addie E, son, born May 1885; and Laura B, daughter, born Sept 1892, age 7.

In 1910, he was listed in North Jamestown as Albert S, age 51, and his wife as Lucy A, age 58. John, Addie and Laura were still at home. William was living, but not at home.

In 1920, it was just him and John listed in the census for North Jamestown. Albert was listed as widowed and John as single.
