Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 28th, at Cooper-Sorrells Chapel. The Rev. Bobby Holt officiated. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery, Honey Grove.
Pallbearers were Marvin Ford, Jim Smoot, Ray Wilson, Glen Reeves, A. P. Hurd and Carl Miller.
Honorary pallbearers were members of the Honey Grove V.F.W. Post #7875.
Williamson was born April 23, 1894, in McMurray County in Tennessee the son of James P. Williamson and Belle Lane Williamson.
He was married at Honey Grove in June 1919 to Ruth Rossen who preceded him in death August 8, 1972.
He was retired from Exxon Corp. - U.S.A., a member of the Self's Baptist Church, a lifetime member of the Honey Grove V.F.W. Post #7875 having served in the U.S. Army as a Private and saw action in France during World War I.
He is survived by one son, John W. Williamson of Livingston; one sister, Mrs. Dewey Baldridge of Greenville; two grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
