Bridgeport, March 22 (Spl).-Joseph E. Giles Sr., 90, Wise County resident since 1884 died early Thursday at his home here. He had been ill since suffering a stroke Monday.
Giles was a native of Louisiana. He was a retired farmer and cotton buyer. He was a Baptist.
Surivors are his wife; four daughters, Mmes. Buford Swain of Fort Worth, Hoke Plymell of Paradise, Edna Hartsell of Floydada and Ruth Hawkins of Clovis, N.M.; eight sons, Leslie, Forrest and Homer of Fort Worth, A.C. of Dallas, Arnold of Lubbock, Horace of Clovis and Ray and J.E. Giles Jr. of Bridgeport, 65 grandchildren, 88 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Bridgeport.
