MADGE B. BILLS, 86, of Altus, Okla., died Friday, Jan. 9, 2009. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2009, at the Elm & Hudson Church of Christ, with Tom Bailey and Bill Osborne officiating, under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Altus City Cemetery.
Madge B. Bills was born July 26, 1922, to Albert C. and Mae E. Buchanan Boaldin in Eldorado, Okla. She married George E. Bills Jr. on Nov. 27, 1959, in Paducah, Texas. She worked at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. until 1945, and she was an interviewer with the Oklahoma Employment Security Commision for 30 years until her retirement in 1977.
She became a member of the Elm & Hudson Church of Christ in 1940. She graduated from Altus High School in 1940 and attended Altus Junior College. She was a member of the Eastern Star. She especially enjoyed traveling and spending time with family.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; three sisters, Geneva Walston, Abbie Heidebrecht and Dorothy Abbott; and three brothers, James Boaldin, A.C. Boaldin Jr, and Leland Boaldin.
She is survived by a son, John Warlick and wife Virgie of Greenfield, Tenn.; two step-sons, Carl Bills and wife Carmen of Altus, and Larry Bills and wife Audrey of The Villages, Fla.; a sister, Agnes Whittington of Tomball, Texas; two brothers, Joe Boaldin of Altus and Wilmer "Bo" Boaldin and wife Barbara of Altus; a sister-in-law, Pyrlene Boaldin of Vernon, Texas; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
