Hester was a loving mother and grandmother, being loved by all who knew her.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Kathryn MacAskill of Livingston, Mont., and Wayne and Joanne MacAskill of Bend, Ore.; a daughter and son-in-law, Caroline and William McConnel of Emmett; two stepchildren, Kathy Stewie of Salem, Ore., and Carol Howell of Emmett; two brothers, Frank Gross of New Plymouth and Orvid Gross of Nampa; a sister, Janie Kimball of Emmett; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and many friends. A stepson, a grandson, three brothers and a sister also died earlier.
