LEHMAN, George M., 71, of Folkston, Ga., passed away November 28, 2002 at Charlton Memorial Hospital after an extended illness.

He was born in Shawnee, Ohio to Pearl and Nellie Lehman. He was a US Army Veteran of over 20 years having served in the Korean and Vietnam War and being wounded in combat, received the Purple Heart. He was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a Shriner. He was also a Kentucky Colonel and a member of the Disabled American Veterans. He was a member of Riverside Chapel Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Patsy Ann Martin.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret Lehman of Folkston, Ga.; three step-daughters, Cynthia Stargel of Brandon, Joyce Fleckenstein of Tampa and Sandra Wise of Selma, Ind.; step-son, Robert Rexroat of Tampa; sister, Norma Goodfellow of New Lexington, Ohio; brother, Randy Lehman of Junction City, Kan.; and a number of nieces and nephews including, Richard and Phyllis Martin and Ray and Lori Morris of Folkston.

Funeral services were held Monday, December 2 at 11:00 a.m. at the Riverside Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Wainright officiating. Burial was in the Church cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of SHEPARD FUNERAL HOME in Folkston, Ga.
