Richard L. Harris, 96, Forest City, passed away at his Forest City home on January 9, 2009.
He was born on October 9, 1912, and was a lifetime resident and farmer in Holt County.
In 1935 he married Essie Burrier and they became parents of seven children. She preceded him in death.
Richard was also preceded by his parents Thomas and Tennessee (Thomas) Harris; two brothers Eugene and French; one sister Lilliam Radley; and two infant children.
Richard is survived by his children, Mary Terhune, Savannah, Missouri, Rosie Meyer, Bolivar, Missouri, Leah Kurtz, Forest City, French Harris, Forest City and Diane Silvey, St. Joseph, Missouri; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sister, Jane Kunkel, St. Joseph; nieces and nephews.
Services: January 13, 2009.
Interment: Maple Grove Cemetery, Oregon, Missouri.
