A memorial service for Pvt. Clifton G. Cravey, who was killed in action in Luxembourg on January 2, was held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the West Athens Baptist Church.

The service was conducted by the Rev. John Duckett, pastor of the Fundamental Baptist Church.

Pvt. Cravey was married to Miss Dorothy Gene Denius of Athens in March of last year. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. A.G. Cravey, and was born near Athens on August 15, 1924. He was a graduate of Athens High School, class of 1942.

He entered the service in March of 1944 and went overseas last September. He was in the infantry and was attached to Gen. Patton's Third Army.

Funeral services for Pvt. Clifton G. Cravey, who was killed in Luxembourg in the Battle of the Bulge on January 2, 1945, will be held at the West Athens Baptist Church Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock.The services will be conducted by the Rev. John Duckett and the Rev. R.E. Bost, with interment following in the city Cemetery.Pallbearers will be James Dennis, Derwood Dennis, Jack Dennis, Harris Ballow, Glenn Gard and Brient Lookabaugh.The Hassell & Foster Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.Pvt. Cravey, who was born at Sand Springs on August 15, 1924, entered the Service March 27, 1944, and went overseas on September 1, 1944.Surviving are his wife, now Mrs. Dorothy Jean Keith of Dallas, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.G. Cravey of route 5, Athens.
