She is survived by 4 nieces, Nigle Brogdon and Rosie Eoff both of Jacksonville, Vi Gotschall of Urbana and Mary Sayre of Hemet, CA; two nephews, Robert Wells of Albany, IN and Raymond Mason of Franklin; several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 5 brothers, George Mason, Floyd Mason, LeRoy Mason, Cletus Mason and Francis Mason and one sister, Marjorie Wells.
Mrs. Carwell had been employed at Nesco and later at Elm City Center and the Blackhawk Restaurant in Jacksonville. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Jacksonville. She enjoyed attending Senior Day at the Salvation Army, quilting, reading, sewing, and the activities and socializing at Knollwood Retirement Village, where she had been a resident.
Services were entrusted to Williamson Funeral Home of Jacksonville, Illinois.
