Wife 1 was born in St Heliers, Jersey, Channel Islands. She passed on July 20 1919 in Teton, Idaho. 2nd wife Janet Lowe Born April 20th 1852 in Scotland and passedd April 26 1893 in Cove Utah. Wife Number 3 Allison Hamlin was married June 26 1856. Robert was always proud that he was born on the day the church was organized. He was proud of his membership in the churchand filled every calling well. He was an Indian scout and interpreter. He was a caroenter and Farmer.. He was active in all community affairs, including the position of constable of Justice of the Peace. WHen Robert was about 13, his family moved to Jackson County, Missippi. A Year Later they moved to King Creek, Pontotoc, Missippi. While they were in Jackson County they met the missionaries and learned of the Book of Mormon. His parents were so impressed with the church that they were baptized within a few days. With the children following closely behind. In 1846 the family determined to gather with the saints. Because they were very poor, and a man by the name of Jefferson Jones offered to help them, if they would let him go with them. They started thier journey in, and arrived at Council Bluffs where they remained for a time.
In September 1847, his father died, leaving a wife and seven children. In the spring of 1848, when the saints were preparing to move west, some of them , including Robert and his family, returned to Iowa side of the Missouri River to try to get things they would need to go west. In May 1852, They finally made thier way west. Upon Their arrival in the Valley, they settled in Santa Quin Where his brother had previouslly gone. Robert married in 1858, and then in 1860 they moved to Franklin, Utah, now called Franklin, Idaho. He married again in the practice of Polygamy. Shortly before his death, he moved to Preston, Idaho, to be near to some of his family.
