Charley R. Hurt, 92. a retired farmer, died Thursday at the Missouri Delta Community Hospital in Sikeston.
He was born on January 28, 1886, at Bolivar.
On February 9, 1907, at Doniphan, he married Nora Gibson, who preceded him in death on December 2, 1971.
Survivors include; four sons, Howard Hurt of Corning, ARK., Donald Hurt of Kansas City, KS., Omar Hurt of Modesto, Calif., and Homer Hurt of Woodland, MI.; three daughters, Nellie Abbott, Mabel Hurt, and Velma Kestner all of Dudley; 16 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 6:30 p.m. today at Rainey Funeral Home in Dexter where services are scheduled at 1 p.m. Saturday, with the Rev.J.E. Kestner officiating.
Burial will follow in Dudley Cemetary.
