IRON RIVER-Adeline Mattioli, 91, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 18, 2016, at St. Paul Elder Services in Kaukauna, Wis. surrounded by her family.
Adeline was born July 16, 1925 in Alpha and was a lifelong resident of Iron County. She graduated from Alpha High School in 1943. On July 3, 1948 she married Elio Mattioli in Alpha, and the couple made their home in Iron River. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Iron River, St. Agnes Altar Society, and a member of Rosary Sodality.
Adeline was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Katherine Cwik (Chirpka); her husband Elio; three brothers, Andrew, Paul (Jr), and Daniel (Eileen); three sisters: Marjorie Milan, Albina Walsh and Eunice Kwapick (Harold).
Adeline is survived by her five children: Larry (Donna) of Little Chute, Wis., David (Lynn) of Eagan, Minn., Steven of Appleton Wis., Mary Ann King of Kaukauna, and Cheryl of Boyne City. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Stacie, Michael, Jason, Sarah, Nicholas, Tony, Alyson, Josie, and four great-grandchildren, Ellen, Eddie, Kaylee and Kiaha.
Adeline is also survived by two sisters, Carol Gulczynski (Richard) of Milwaukee, Wis. and Betty Nowak (Ted) of Greenfield Wis.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation to be held at the Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron River on Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2016 from 11 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. Funeral services to follow at St. Agnes Catholic Church at 1 p.m. with Fr. Gregory Veneklase to offer the Mass of Christian Burial.
Interment will be in the Resthaven Cemetery, Iron River in the spring.
Adeline’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Hospice Staff at St. Paul Elder Services, Kaukauna, for their care and compassion.
