Note: "Southwest La. Records," SSDI & WWI draft registration show the birth year as 1893, not 1891 as on the headstone. SSDI lists him as "Pierrie Leger"; draft record as "Pierre Legere." The headstone also uses an unusual spelling, placing an accent on the last 'e' of Legere.

"Southwest La. Records" lists him as the son of George Leger[e?] and Theolinde Blanchard.
