Murla D. Dona
ROCK SPRINGS ? Murla D. Dona, 87, of Rock Springs, died Friday, May 30, 2008, at the Sage View Care Center after a lengthy illness. She was born March 1, 1921, in Cumberland, the daughter of Daniel Daniels and Emma Buchanan Daniels Wilde. She attended schools in Winton and Reliance.
She married Victor Dona on Nov. 26, 1940, in Green River. He preceded her in death on Feb. 15, 2004.
She had been employed by Union Merc, Safeway and City Market for 28 years until her retirement in 1974. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Her interests included crocheting and visiting family and friends.
She is survived by her one son, Norm Dona and wife Sherry of Rock Springs; one daughter, Dana Dona of Rock Springs; two grandchildren, Stacey Jacobson and husband Don and Kelli Dona; two great-grandchildren, Danyell Jacobson and Dakota Meyer; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Victor; three brothers, Danny, Clyde and Laddie Daniels; and one sister, Blanch Welch.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 5, 2008, at Fox Funeral Home, 2800 Commercial Way, Rock Springs. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2008, and one hour prior to services Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, Rock Springs.
