Ruby Lockhart Bailey of Ellicott City, Md., formerly of Parkersburg, died Jan. 2, 2009.

She was born in Clarksburg, W.Va., to the late JP and Luella Romine Lockhart. She attended school in Harrison and Wirt counties and graduated from Wirt County High School. She had worked at the former American Viscose in Parkersburg and U.S. Air Service Command, Dayton, Ohio. She was a member of the Lubeck United Methodist Church in Lubeck, W.Va.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Whitman Dole Bailey.

She is survived by a daughter, Marian Chichester of Ellicott City, Md.; two granddaughters, Kristin Chichester of Odenton, Md., and Kari Price of Gambrills, Md.; one brother, J.P. Lockhart of Belpre; and two sisters, Reva Biehl of Coal Run, Ohio, and Laura Haynes of Akron, Ohio.

Viewing will be from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg, where funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday. Burial will be at the Lubeck Cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Lubeck Methodist Church in Lubeck.
