All of their adult children, along with their present and future spouses, emigrated to the United States from Germany in stages from 1846 to 1854, first to New York, then to Ohio, with a couple of sons later locating to Indiana, bringing their parents over after they had settled. Both Parents died in Brookville, Ohio, and are buried in Landis Cemetery.
