Eleazer & Rachel are my 5th great grandparents. He was a son of John Lemaster & Sarah Vest

Eleazor was in Spartanburg, South Carolina in 1790, then moved to Lee County, Virginia and later to Knox County, Kentucky. Listed in Floyd County census for 1810, 1820, and 1830. In 1824 he patented 150 acres on Mudlick in the present Johnson County, KY. The 1850 census of Johnson County shows him age 90, living with his daughter Elizabeth.

Eleazer & John Lemaster moved to Spartenburg, SC ca 1789 & stayed abt 5 years - reported there by 1790 census (as was a John Tackett). Next report was 1797 - 1800 tax lists of Lee Co., VA, the 1802 - 1810 tax rolls of Knox Co., KY, reporting land on the Cumberland River (area now in a part of Harlan Co. which is adj to Lee Co, VA.

4 Sep 1786, Eleazer Lemaster m. in Amherst Co., VA, Miss Machell Tackett, Security: John Lemaster. During their 7 to 8 years of marriage Machell bore 3 sons and a daughter Elizabeth who would later marry Jesse Osburn. Within 2 years of Machell's death, Eleazer m. (2) Rachel Ramey who bore him 9 children.

Ky. federal census in 1850, Eleazer was 90 years old and born in North Carolina. This puts his date of birth around 1760. He was 97 years old when he died.
