George Sander, 56 years old, a farmer of the Whitewater community, died at 10:10 Sunday night at St. Francis Hospital of peritonitis. He had been ill about two weeks with an intestinal infection from which peritonitis was said to have developed. He was brought to the hospital early Sunday.
The body was removed to the Beard-Estes Funeral Home and will be taken to the Fairview Methodist Church near Burfordville at 1 Tuesday afternoon, where funeral services will be conducted at 2. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Sander was born Dec. 2, 1881, on a farm in the Tilsit community and spent all of his life in Cape County. During most of his married life he had resided near Whitewater.
Surviving, besides his widow, are four sons, W.D. Sander of St. Louis, Carl Sander of Cape Girardeau, and Winford and George E. Sander of Whitewater; two daughters, Mrs. Orville Seabaugh of Cape Girardeau and Miss Vera Sander of Whitewater; three brothers, Louis Sander and Jesse Sander of Burfordville, and Alvin Sander of Kinmundy, Ill., and a sister, Mrs. Boyd Summers of Burfordville.
