The archivist at the library in Canton, NY was able to find an 1850 Mortality Schedule that showed a Mary Hubbard who died in May 1850 in Louisville, St. Lawrence County, NY. The archivist was not able to find any information as to who the family of this Mary Hubbard was.
From the 1925 Iowa State Census, Charles Morley Hubbard, eldest son, told the census taker that his father's name was Harvey Hubbard and his mother's was Mary Barney.
Further, on the 1900 census Mary Ann Aemer-Hubbard said that she had only ten children, eight were living; implying the oldest three were not her biological children.
