Note: I would like to share with you the following information on Nancy Davis, who is buried in Snow Cemetery, Camp Howard Road, Morgan County, Tennessee. Nancy Staples born 24 Aug 1798 in Elbert County, Georgia married Joseph S. Davis abt 1834 in Morgan County, Tennessee. Nancy Staples Davis died 11 Feb 1891 in Morgan County and was buried in the Snow Cemetery. Nancy's sister, Christian (Kitty C.) Staples married Ahijah Snow so it is assumed that was why Nancy Staples Davis and other Staples were buried in the Snow Cemetery.

To my knowledge and research, Nancy Staples Davis never married a Snow. She was listed as Nancy Davis in 1870 aged 72 and in the Morgan County Cemeteries II Book. In the Cemeteries Book it is noted that she was the wife of I.S. I am assuming that this should be J.S. which was for her husband Joseph S. Davis and is either a mistake on the tombstone or a "J" that is worn away to look like an "I".
Dorothy Staples Wallace∼Nancy Staples Davis was the wife of Joseph S. Davis. She was the daughter of John Staples and Elizabeth "Betsey" Upshaw.
