Funeral services for Mr. George M. "Jake" Allen, 47, of Livingston, were conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 19, 2007, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. Nolen Brunac and Rev. Craig Green officiating. Burial was in Bethlehem Cemetery.
Mr. Allen died Tuesday, Oct. 16 at his home. He was a geologist and a member of First United Methodist Church in Livingston.
Born April 29, 1960, in Alexandria, VA, he was the son of the late Joe and Elenor (Sutherland) Allen.
Survivors include his wife, Lisa (Langford) Allen of Livingston; a brother and sister-in-law, Joey and Connie Allen of Gordonsville; his mother-in-law, Geneva Langford of Livingston; several nephews, nieces; several great-nephews and nieces; and uncles and aunts.
Pallbearers were Josh Thompson, James Spas, Brandon Skiles, J.W. Allen, Billy Allen, and Mark Duke.
Honorary pallbearers were members of Bethlehem United Methodist Church and TEDEC employees.
