Hyram N. Walton, 89, of Conway, passed away Saturday, January 3, 2009 at the VA Hospital in Little Rock, AR. He was born Tuesday, March 25, 1919 to the late Henry and Lula (Webb) Walton in Humphrey, AR.
Mr. Walton was a loving and caring father, grandfather, and brother. He loved children especially his grandchildren. He was an avid deer hunter. He served during World War II in the Aleutian Islands. He was a former member of First Baptist Church in North Little Rock, AR and current member of Second Baptist Church in Conway, AR.
He is survived by a son, Hyram Lyle Walton of Conway; stepson, Ralph Garrison of OR; four grandchildren, Hyram Dewaine Walton of Little Rock, AR, Mike Garrison and Lewis Garrison of Jacksonville, AR, and Celia Garrison of FL; and a brother Arnold Walton of Little Rock, AR.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Walton was preceded in death by his loving wife, Lillie Mae (Liles) Walton; five brothers; and four sisters.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Conway with burial to follow in Vilonia Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., on Tuesday, January 6, 2009.
