Catherine Ann Goris Gray was born September 06, 1931 in Bingham Canyon, Utah to William and Jean Bennie Goris and graduated from Bingham High School. She married Carol Max Gray on September 18, 1950 in Ely, Nevada and they moved to Magna, Utah in April of 1957.
Our dear wife, mom and yia yia has touched our lives with an everlasting love and meaning. We are thankful she is at peace, but will miss her every day until we meet again in heaven. There are no words to describe the courage, strength and sense of hope she exemplified throughout her life. She is an example to us all.
She is survived by her beloved husband of fifty-eight years; her daughter, Elizabeth (Kent) Hedenstrom; grandson, John; granddaughter, Santina (Ricky) Malone; great-grand-daughter, Gianna Madison Malone. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Toni Gray Hyler; brothers, James (Ruthanna), John (Kathy), David (Sandra); sisters, Helene Summers, Mary (Dick) Kern, and Frances Bolliger; sisters-in-law, Arley Goris, Georgia Goris and Lois Vandorn; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her beloved sons, Randall Carol, Steven James and Jon Lee; her parents; and brothers, William Jr., Paul, Robert, Chris, and George.
Catherine's wish was to be cremated and she will be interred at a later date at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
There will be a Memorial Service for Catherine held at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 West 2700 South, Magna, UT, on January 10, 2009 at 12:00 p.m. and where you may greet the family from 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
