Marjorie Ann Krebs, 90, of Iowa City, died Tuesday, May 16, 2006 at the Atrium Village in Hills.

Funeral services for Marjorie will be at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, May 19, 2006 at the United Presbyterian Church in Lone Tree. Rev. Jason Pittman will officiate the services. Burial will be in the Riverside Public Cemetery in Riverside. Casketbearers will be her grandchildren, Richard Krebs, Randy Krebs, Sandy Lovetinsky, Becky Lovetinsky, Jayson Crawford and Cody Crawford. Honorary Casket bearer will be Peggy Miller. Following the committal service at the cemetery there will be a time of food and fellowship at the United Presbyterian Church in Lone Tree. Visitation for Marjorie will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2006 from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at the Sorden-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Riverside. Marjorie Ann Phillips was born on September 1, 1915 in Princeton, Indiana the daughter of Henry and Rosella (Wilder) Phillips. She and her family moved to Lone Tree in 1927. Marjorie graduated from Lone Tree High School in 1933. On February 16, 1938, Marjorie was united in marriage to Richard Charles Krebs in Nichols. She and her husband farmed in the Riverside area until his death in 1951. She then moved to Iowa City. Marjorie worked as a proof reader for Moore Business Forms in Iowa City, retiring at the age of 70. Marjorie was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Lone Tree. She enjoyed bowling in the Pin Buster League, cooking for her family and getting together with co-workers.

Marjorie will be missed by her son, Harold Krebs and his wife, Dorothy, of Riverside; one daughter, Rosalie Hancock and her husband, Gene, of Iowa City; seven grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and two sisters-in-law, Helen Swailes of Iowa City and Louise Phillips of Escondido, California.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard on August 13, 1951; one daughter, Karen Crawford; son-in-law, Russell Vitosh, three grandchildren, Steve Vitosh, Nicole Vitosh and one grandson in infancy; three brothers, DeWayne, Charles and George; two sisters, Helen Hora and Mildred in infancy and special friend, Carol Eden.
