Dad was proud to be Irish, proud to be from Kansas and above all else proud of his family. He always put us first. He had a wonderful Irish wit and was the hardest working person we have ever known. He grew up in the midst of The Great Depression and never forgot the lessons it taught him. He always kept his word, didn't waste a thing, appreciated the smallest luxuries and gave to others his whole life. What he lacked in education he more than made up for with dogged determination, persistence and a never give up attitude. Danny Thomas once said, "In life there are givers and takers. The takers may eat better but the givers will sleep better." Our Pop will sleep well in Heaven. God Bless our Dad who was the best father and Papa a family could ask for. We will continue to live our lives with the dignity, honesty and integrity that he did his and this way we know he lives on. With all our hearts we will love and miss him forever.
