RUSSELLVILLE, ARKANSAS
DECEMBER 22, 1921
Charles E. Austin of Albuquerque, New Mexico, died December 2, 1921, after a short illness of acute pneumonia.
Mr. Austin served nine month in the 110th. Engineers, at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. He was an earnest, conscientious member of the American Legion of Albuquerque, New Mexico, acting as chairman of the entertainment committee on last Armistice Day.
Mr. Austin was born on January 29th. 1886, in Pope county, Arkansas and grew to manhood in that community. He was married on February 24th. 1919 to Miss EMELY MARTIN of Blue Hill, Nebraska their union being an especially happy one.
He leaves a young widow crusher and heartbroken at the sudden death of her beloved companion.
The remains were laid to rest in the Bells Chapel cemetery near the old home place, the services were conducted by the Rev. Manney of Pottsville, assisted by the American Legion of Russellville.
A large number of sorrowing friends and relatives were present. He leaves behind the young widow an aged father and mother, three sisters and a brother to mourn the untimely departure.
