Mrs. VanBeber was born February 11, 1915 in Rector to Fines Grover and May Mae Lois (Briggs) Counts. She married Howard McQuality February 23, 1935. They were the parents of three children. Later she married Charles VanBeber January 9, 1960.
Mrs. VanBeber died January 5, 2009 in Salem at the age of 93 years, ten months and 22 days.
Survivors include her children, Jack H. McQuality and wife, Marilyn, Pharr, Texas; Virginia C. Jackson, Arnold; and Larry McQuality, Imperial; grandchildren, Tracy McClain, Clay McClain, Matt McQuality and Kelli Ruddle; five great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews, Erma Nash, Earl L. Smith and Denise Thompson, all of Salem; caretakers at Salem Care Center and Salem Memorial Hospital; and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husbands, Howard McQuality and Charles VanBeber.
