John Shavalier, aged 79, passed away at his home, Marlborough street west, last Thursday evening after an illness covering the past three and a half years. Deceased was born at Grimsby, Ont and moved to Leamington with his family 19 years ago. For several years he was subject to bladder trouble and this complicated with other weakness is the cause given for his death, Besides his wife he is survived by four daughters and one son, Mrs Cyrus Balkwell, Mrs Marie Cranick, Mrs Ed Selli, Mrs Gordon Griggs, and Otto, all of Leamington and district.
The funeral service was held at his late home on Saturday, Sept 20, at 11 am. interment following in Lakeview Cemetery.
