Mrs. Rowell was born Nov 5, 1905 in Ravenel, a daughter of Richard J. Beach and Julie Elsey Beach.She was a member of Hampton Park Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to her husband are: two daughters Mrs. J.H. Walker of Johns Island and Mrs. W. Dale Cook of Thomas Ga; two sons James E. Rowell of Charleston and William Rowell of Ridgeland; two sisters Mrs. .C. Decker of Campvell, N.Y.; A.W. Hutson of Ladson; and 19 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
