Evelyn B. Boas, 86, of 627 Wyncroft Lane, Apt. #8, Lancaster, died unexpectedly at home on Sunday, June 13, 2004 of natural causes.

She was the wife of the late Elvin Boas, Sr., who died in 1970.

Born in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late John M. and Bessie Black.

She retired as a cook from the Occupational Development Center. She was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Lancaster. She enjoyed knitting, cooking and Bible Studies.

Surviving is a son Terry L. husband of Jackie L. Boas of Drumore, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son Elvin Boas, Jr, by daughters Charlene E. Horn and Dixie L. Sellers, by brothers, John, Frank and Clarence Black and by sisters May Wayne, Gertrude Wolf and Grace Howard.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Grace Lutheran Church, 517 N. Queen St., Lancaster, PA on Thursday, June 17, at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Stephen P. Verkouw officiating. Interment in Cedar Lawn Cemetery, Lancaster, PA. Friends may call at the Gundel Funeral Home, 415 N. Duke St., Lancaster, on Wednesday evening from 6-8 PM and at the church on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Please omit flowers. If desired, contributions in Evelyn's memory may be made to Hospice of Lancaster County, 685 Good Drive, P.O.
