Margaret M. Beiriger, age 88, 123 South Broad Street, Griffith, passed away at Mercy Hosepital, Gary, Thursday, January 18, following a short illness. Survivors: four daughters, Mrs. Viola Glover, Mrs. Ann Regnier, Mrs. Mary Lee Fritz, all of Griffith, Mrs. Sylvia Beaty of Gary; six sons, Francis of Rockford, Illinois, Virgil of Hammond, Victor Wilmington, Delaware, Marion of Gary, Ralph of Griffith, and Lee of Alhambra, Califronia; twenty-four grandchildren; thirty one great grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Olivia Hutchins, Mrs. Lydia Allen, Mrs. Mayme Miller, all of Griffith; one brother, Peter Ehrsam, Hammond. Funereal services will be Monday, January 22, at 10 a.m. from St. Mary Catholic Church, Griffith, with Right Reverend Monsignor Leo Hildebrandt P.A., officiating. Burial in Mt. Mercy Cemetery, Gary. Friends may call at the Johnston & Royce Funeral Home, 242 North Griffith Boulevard, Griffith, from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Sunday. Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Sunday evening. she was a member of St. mary Catholic Church, the Altar and Rosary Society, the Griffith Grandmothers Club, W.C.O.F., one of the first settlers in Grffith, a resident for seventy one years.
