Leonard B. Adams, a veteran of the Civil war, died at the Rutland hospital at 11.[illegible] o'clock Saturday morning of paralysis. He had been in poor health for a long time. He was born in Cavendish, January 5, 1840, and enlisted in Company H, 11th Vermont, in 1863, from Sherburne. In his early days he was a farmer. He had lived in this city a number of years. There are no near survivors.
The funeral will be held at Evergreen cemetery immediately after the arrival there of the car leaving the waiting room at 2.10 o'clock this afternoon. Members of Roberts post, No. 14, G.A.R., have been requested to meet at G.A.R. hall at 1.30 o'clock to attend the ceremony.
