Vera R. Acree went to be with her Lord Wednesday, May 16, 2001. She was born Sept. 17, 1911 in Scipio.
Her family moved to Sapulpa in 1923, and she was a charter member of Ridgeway Baptist Church for more than 70 years.
She was preceded in death by a son, Jack Wesley Acree; her parents, W.G. and Florence Boyd; and three brothers, W.E. Boyd, Lloyd Boyd and C.D. Boyd.
She is survived by sons, Rex Acree and his wife, Jan; Boyd Acree and his wife, Judy; four grandchildren, Susan Kuck of Tulsa, David Acree and his wife, Susan, of Houston, Texas, Tony Acree and his wife, Angie, of Sapulpa and Sara Hitch and her husband, Jason, of Guymon; a sister, Alma Martin of Sapulpa; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 am Saturday, May 19, 2001, at Ridgeway Baptist Church with the Rev. Scott Hamilton officiating. Interment will be at Green Hill Memorial Cemetery.
She is loved and will be missed.
