Funeral services for Mrs. Jeanne M. Moore of Vaiden will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 8, at Oliver Chapel, with burial following in Oakwood Cemetery in Winona. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 7, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., at Oliver Funeral Home.
Mrs. Moore died of complications from cancer at Greenwood Specialty Hospital in Greenwood on Monday, January 5, 2009. She was 78 years old.
Mrs. Moore was the daughter of the late James Marvin Holden and the late Nina Ellis Holden. She was a retired co-owner of her family restaurant, and a member of First Baptist Church in Winona.
Survivors include her husband, Percy D. "Duck" Moore of Vaiden; daughter, Donna Moore Palmertree and her husband, C. Owens, of Clinton; sister, Jewel H. Fulgham of Tampa, Florida; brothers, Walton G. Holden of Plant City, Florida, and Myron "Sonny" Holden of Bradenton, Florida; four grandchildren, Jennifer E. Paul of Chicago, Illinois, Kristen L. Massey of Acworth, Georgia, William Ryan Palmertree of Clinton, and Mallory Kay Palmertree of Clinton; two special nieces, Melanie K. Cox of Louisville,
Kentucky, and Natalie Britt South of Southaven; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Palmertree, Johnny Massey, Todd Paul, Jesse Mann, Norman Mann, and Joey Boler.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Montgomery County Relay for Life.
