Matthew Gibson . brother of Ann

Ann Gibson was the older sister of Matthew Gibson . Mathew married Eliza Ann Gamble, daughter of James Gamble and Margaret Reveler Gamble. In 1878, the year following the death of Margaret Gamble, Ann Gibson and James Gamble wed on 24 Sept 1878. Therefore Ann Gibson was both the sister and step-mother-in-law of Mathew Gibson.

Ann moved to Republic, Michigan to live out her days near Mathew Gibson and Eliza Gamble Gibson following the death of James Gamble.

Republic -- Gamble funeral

The funeral of Mrs. Annie Gamble, 90 years of age, one of the first Republic settlers, was held Monday afternoon from the home and the English Methodist church, with the Rev. Meldon Crawford, pastor officiating. Interment was made in the family lot in the Republic cemetery. Pall bearers were Joseph F Labold, Gust A Peterson, Arthur J Carlson, Irving Labold, Louis LaForias and Alfred Dower. Among the out-of-town relatives and friends here for the funeral were Thomas Gibson, of Keweenaw Bay; Mrs. Margaret MacDonald and son, Kenneth, Mr. and Mrs. Ira Odgers, Miss Anna Mae Gibson, Mrs. James Butler and Mr. and Mrs. Theron Gibson and daughter, Betty, of Crystal Falls; Mrs. Percy Edwards, of Alpha; Mr. and Mrs. Thoburn Gibson, Mrs. Ida Edwards and Llewellyn MacDonald, of Amasa, Mrs. Edward Ley, Mr. and Mrs. B. Ley of Michigamme; Mr. and Mrs. George Campbell, of Miami, Florida; Mrs. Guy C. Gamble, of Washington, D.C.; Mrs. Glen Malone, of Maywood, Ill.; Mrs. Albert Larsen and son, William, of Negaunee.
