Died from a fall during his job as a telephone lineman. Fell head first to the ground from the top of a pole. His wife was named Toi Lorraine Sparks who later married Eddie Orand. His brothers and sisters were Beano (Bernice) F. Sparks, Daniel Clay Sparks, Lola Agnes Sparks Foster, Mattie Faye Sparks Lemmon, Era Lee Sparks, and Billie Jayne Sparks Ulrich Black, John Sparks.
