Joseph PALMER Sr. inherited much land from his grandfather, Nehemiah(#2696), since his father, Joseph(#1346), had predeceased Nehemiah. He served as Representative to the CT General Assembly in 1736, 1738, 1739, 1740, & 1742. From 1739 to 1743 he served as Justice of the Peace in Stonington. Around 1744, he & his wife moved to Voluntown.
