In Memoriam:
Mr. J. Frank Weeks was born in Newburyport, Mass., Nov. 30, 1853. He lived in Cleveland, O., from boyhood until thirteen years ago when he went to Plainfield, N.J., to live. He was married October 10, 1877, to Miss Nellie G. Draper of DeRuyter, N.Y.
He was employed as a bookkeeper in a grocery store in plainfield, being always trusted with great responsibilities. He was a member of the Park avenue Baptist Church of that city. He looked on the bright side of life, was patient in the suffering that he was called to endure, loved by everybody who knew him. Those who knew him most intimately loved him best. he was straightforward in all his dealings, a man of integrity and uprightness of character. His death from apoplexy came suddenly and was unexpected by his friends. Funeral services were held at his home in Palinfield Thursday afternoon, June 21. These services were conductd by his pastor, Rev. Mr. Finn, assisted by Rev. George W. Shaw. The remains were brought to DeRuyter Friday, June 22, where interment was made in the family lot in Hillcrest cemetery. The services at the grave were conducted by Rev. F.G. Webster. He leaves to mourn his death his wife, Mrs. Nellie D. Weeks, his daughter, Miss Grace E. Weeks, and aged father and mother in Cleveland, O., brothers and sisters scattered throughout the West, beside his many friends in Plainfield, DeRuyter and other places. F.G.W.
