JEROME EUGENE BAKER, 74, of Memphis, retired lieutenant of the Memphis Fire Department, died of heart disease Thursday at Saint Francis Hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. James Catholic Church, where he was a communicant, with burial in Memorial Park South Woods. Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel has charge. He was a World War II veteran. Mr. Baker, the husband of Rose Baker for 53 years, also leaves six daughters, Gloria Baker , Donna Bradley, Beverly Finnell, Sharon Arnold and Pat Yearwood, all of Memphis, and Linda Gore of Gadsden, Ala.; three sons, Jerome Eugene Baker Jr. of Bolton, Dr. Joseph Baker of Baton Rouge, La., and Mike Baker of Cordova, and 14 grandchildren.
