SHREVEPORT, LA - Loma Lafitte Wright was born October 19, 1917 and died January 4, 2009 and lived with joy and grace for 91 years.She married William Harrell Wright in 1938 and built a life for 45 years when he preceded her in death.

She is survived by two sons, Richard Harrell Wright and Russell Langston Wright and their wives, Sherry Wright and Misty Wright. Loma had four grandchildren, Wendy Wright Fertitta and her husband, John Fertitta, Ashley Wright Budziszewski and her husband, Piotr, Katie Wright and Alex Wright. She was also blessed with three great grandchildren, Isabella and Sophia Fertitta and Jack Thomas Budziszewski; her longtime sister in law and friend is Norma Lafitte and there are numerous nieces and nephews.

In her professional life she served as Postmaster in Cotton Valley, LA and in her spiritual life she was a Stephen Minister, sang in the choir, taught Sunday School and was devoted to the Tribe of Dan Altar Guild. She was a founding member of Grace Community United Methodist Church where memorials may be sent in her name to the Prayer Garden.

Loma loved travel, reading and enjoying people. She touched many lives and will always be remembered.

Services were held at the Grace Community United Methodist Church on Monday, January 5, 2009, beginning at 10:00am. Interment followed in the Greenwood Cemetery, Ruston, LA.
