Theresa Sue 'Teri' Braddy
Funeral for Theresa S. "Teri" Braddy, 61, Lawton, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in First United Methodist Church with Dr. Jerry Black officiating.

Mrs. Braddy died Friday, Jan. 2, 2009, in Lawton.

Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens under direction of Becker Funeral Home.

She was born July 11, 1947, in Lawton to Louie and Mary Beth Moore Alltizer. She lived in Corpus Christi, Texas, and Scottsdale, Ariz., before returning to Lawton when she was 12 years old. She was a graduate of Eisenhower High School in 1965, attended Cameron College and earned her Master's Degree in Library Science from the University of Oklahoma. She married A. W. "Bud" Braddy on Aug. 13, 1972, in Lawton. She was employed by Lawton Public Schools and taught two years at Robert E. Lee prior to becoming the librarian at MacArthur Junior High School. In 1994 she became librarian at MacArthur High School where she remained until her retirement in May 2008. She was involved in Military Child Education Coalition. Her hobbies were photography and reading. She was a member of Paradise Valley Baptist Church, a sustaining member of the Junior Service League of Lawton and was learning to play bridge.

Survivors include her husband, of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law: Karen and Brian Longhenry, Austin, Texas, and Mary Clare and Dustin Martin, Fort Benning, Ga.; four grandchildren: Natalie Martin, Ethan Longhenry, Nolan Martin and Erik Longhenry; and a brother, Art Alltizer, Tulsa.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
